Psalms 119

I was looking through my notes from Conference this morning and thinking. This scripture came to my mind among a few others and I thought I would post it here. Wasn't General Conference just wonderful this weekend! So edifying! The teachings and testimony were very personal and truly an answer to my prayers.

105 Thy word
is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word.
108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments.
109 My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.
111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112 I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.

V. 105 is one of my favorites. I always get the picture in my head of someone holding the lamp in front of them as they go forward in the darkness.

I can see the glow of the light on the face and of it softly lighting the path in front. But beyond the reach of the candle's glow is darkness. God gives us enough light to take the next step but not enough to see our whole course. After the next step, we must rely on faith

In Wanderings, Direction comes one step at a time.

Always my best, Dad.
